Job summary

Boone Health seeks a Senior Supply Technician to oversee daily management of medical materials across hospital departments. Responsibilities include lean supply, receiving, stocking, and par-level maintenance.

You will train and mentor staff, coordinate with Linen services, and ensure safety and housekeeping in supply areas per OSHA and Joint Commission standards. Hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, with weekend/holiday rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of experience in supply/warehouse roles.
• Supervisory experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean supply philosophy and basic analytics.
• Perform material receiving, verify items, and process receipts.
• Review reports and adjust par levels with department staff.
• Coordinate with procurement to resolve order issues and recalls.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in supply rooms per standards.
• Track low stock items and reorder with Linen Coordinator.
• Assist with training and mentoring of new staff.

Primary duties will include supply room and warehouse cleaning and organization, department customer service, reviewing item par levels and usage with department leadership, bin optimization, material ordering, receiving and stocking, assisting with manufacturer recall notifications/usage investigations. Aids in training, mentoring and developing new Supply Technicians. Performs other duties as assigned. Senior Supply Techs should be able to perform all core competencies as well as assist in training, mentoring and development of Linen Techs.Job Responsibilities:Able to apply lean supply philosophy, performs basic analytics using Microsoft products and other tools available through supply chain management systems.Performs material receiving functions verifying correct items, quantities, processing receipts in the inventory management computer system, process RTVs, tagging/labeling and staging items for delivery.Review reports, collaborate with department staff to adjust par levels, coordinate opportunities for improvement, implement and maintain standardized community supply model, assist w/JIT room auditsProcesses stock/non-stock orders in the inventory management systems, coordinates with procurement to resolve order issues, RTVs, discrepancies, match exceptions, recalls and returns to vendor.Provides daily oversight of material functions while ensuring a safety focused environment complying with Boone Health, OSHA, Joint Commission standards and performs housekeeping functions in supply rooms.Tracks low stock supply and routes to Linen Coordinator for reorder.Ensures weekly sweeping and mopping Linen Supply and Linen Soiled storage rooms in the Linen Department are completed.Supports E/S Techs duties during periods of staff shortagesPerforms Other Responsibilities as Assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Degrees: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: 2-5 yearsSupervisor Experience: No ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:Degrees: NoneExperience: 5-10 yearsSupervisor Experience: < 2 yearsWork ShiftDay Shift (United States of America)Legal StatementThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this position.
