Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Full-Time Material Linen Technician for the 3:00p–11:30p shift. You will receive, stock, issue, pick up and transport linens and equipment, and support inventory and sanitation within the department.

Responsibilities include daily counts of overages/shortages, maintaining par levels for ancillary areas, handling phone requests, servicing scrub machines via pick lists, and ensuring privacy when visiting patient rooms.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, issue, pick up and transport linens and equipment including ancillary and outlying buildings.
• Perform daily count of overages and shortages; assist inventory control and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Ancillary areas supplied with linen by maintaining established par levels.
• All phone requests must be filled in a timely manner.
• Scrub machines must be filled and serviced with the use of a pick list.
• Requires entry into patient rooms and respect to patient and parent privacy.
• Must collect soiled linen according to procedures to prevent cross contamination.
• Maintain professional and courteous conduct at all times.
• Maintain sanitary conditions; trash and boxes are emptied and floor swept daily.
• Fill in to support other Support Services areas as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
