The Louisville Marriott Downtown, part of White Lodging, is seeking a dedicated line cook to join the Banquet Culinary Team. You’ll prepare and present high-quality food for meetings, celebrations and events in a fast-paced kitchen.

This full-time role emphasizes teamwork, mentoring junior cooks, strict food safety, and helping manage cost targets while upholding recipes and portions.

Grow your skills in sautéing, butchery, garde manger, and breakfast cookery under experienced leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Proficiency in multiple cooking techniques (sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery).
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices; oversee daily prep and production.
• Execute BOH operations following F&B procedures and health codes.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times.
• Help maintain food cost and labor cost targets.
• Check ingredient freshness; uphold recipes and portion records.
• Influence guest feedback through consistent food quality.
