Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior SampleManager LIMS Implementation Engineer to lead configuration, implementation, integration, and deployment of SampleManager LIMS across diverse laboratories. You will translate lab processes into robust configurations, support instrument and systems integrations, and ensure quality through testing and validation.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation, collaboration with project teams, documentation, and ongoing improvements in SampleManager

Qualifications

7+ years of experience implementing/configuring or supporting LIMS/informatics solutions.
Strong hands-on knowledge of SampleManager LIMS configuration and implementation.
Experience configuring lab workflows and customer-specific LIMS functionality.
Experience with SampleManager Integration Manager and lab instrument integrations.
Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Programming or development experience in C#/.NET is desirable.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration/integration issues.
Experience with LIMS upgrades, testing, data migration, and system validation.
Familiarity with GMP/GLP/FDA 21 CFR Part 11/ISO in regulated labs is desirable.

Responsibilities

Configure, customize, implement, and deploy SampleManager LIMS in diverse labs.
Serve as technical implementation expert for SampleManager solutions.
Translate requirements into effective SampleManager configurations.
Design and implement lab workflows, master data, and business rules.
Configure integrations between SampleManager and instruments and systems.
Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex issues.
Support data mapping, migration, and validation activities.
Develop and execute unit and system testing; assist validation and deployment.
Produce design specifications and implementation documentation.
Support upgrades, enhancements, and changes in customer environments.
Estimate activities and identify risks/ dependencies; communicate findings.
Collaborate with architects, analysts, PMs, QA/validation resources, and other engineers.
Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to project teams and customers.
Contribute to implementation standards and best practices.
