Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a highly experienced Lift Mechanic III for Homewood Mountain Resort, Lake Tahoe, California. The role focuses on advanced mechanical and electrical maintenance, rigging, and safety-critical evacuations with proficiency in PLC interfacing and computer-based tools.

You will lead complex repairs, develop parts lists, estimate labor hours, and ensure compliance with manufacturer standards. A strong safety mindset and independent leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in lift maintenance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of lift systems and manufacturer maintenance standards.
• Ability to interpret service bulletins and technical docs.
• Advanced rigging knowledge for bull wheels, gearboxes, and lift components.
• Experience leading lift evacuations and managing emergency scenarios.
• Proficiency with electrical systems from 480V AC to low-voltage DC.
• Maintains accurate maintenance records and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced lift maintenance tasks across multiple systems.
• Lead evacuation procedures and standby operations during incidents.
• Prepare tools, parts lists, and labor estimates for projects.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control systems with safety focus.
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
