Job summary

Discovery Land Company at Homewood Mountain Resort, on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California, seeks a Lift Mechanic III to join the Lift Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate has 8–10+ years of hands-on lift maintenance, deep knowledge of lift systems, rigging, and PLC-based diagnostics, with a proven ability to lead evacuations and coordinate complex repairs.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of hands-on lift maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of lift systems and manufacturer standards.
• Interpret service bulletins and technical documentation.
• Rigging knowledge for bull wheels, gearboxes and complex components.
• Lead lift evacuations and manage emergency scenarios.
• Proficient in electrical systems 480V AC to DC low voltage.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Lift Mechanic with advanced proficiency.
• Apply manufacturer maintenance requirements and service bulletins.
• Identify and prepare tools for maintenance tasks.
• Execute safe rigging for maintenance, including bull wheels and gearboxes.
• Lead lift evacuations and no safeties mode operations.
• Safely unload passengers in failures and emergencies.
• Develop parts lists and estimate labor hours for projects.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PLC interfacing systems.
