Job summary

Clayco is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of life sciences manufacturing facilities across multiple modalities. The role focuses on defining process requirements, equipment needs, and workflows that inform facility planning and design for regulated environments.

Responsibilities include leading process definition, developing narratives and layouts, and collaborating with process architects, utilities, and construction teams to translate process

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of life sciences manufacturing process engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one major modality (mAbs, ATMPs, mRNA, vaccines, API, OSD).
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support process definition and design for life sciences facilities from early planning through construction support.
• Define process flows, unit operations, equipment requirements, and space needs for regulated operations.
• Develop process narratives, block diagrams, and layouts informing architectural/engineering design.
• Collaborate with clients to understand objectives, capacity, product mix, and constraints.
• Coordinate with utilities, mechanical, electrical, automation, and architectural teams to align processes with systems.
