Job summary

Clayco / LJC Design & Engineering is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of life sciences manufacturing facilities across multiple modalities. You will translate manufacturing processes into coordinated design solutions while collaborating with clients, architects, utilities, and construction teams.

The role requires a strong background in regulated manufacturing environments, a PE license is preferred, and a commitment to fast-track project delivery

Qualifications

• 10+ years of life sciences manufacturing process engineering experience.
• Experience translating process requirements into facility design inputs and layouts.
• Familiarity with GMP/GxP environments and regulatory expectations.
• Strong communication and client-facing collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support process definition and design for life sciences facilities from planning through construction support.
• Define process flows, unit operations, equipment requirements, and space needs for compliant operations.
• Develop process narratives, block flow diagrams, and equipment layouts for architectural and MEP integration.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to align manufacturing objectives with design constraints.
• Coordinate with utilities, mechanical, electrical, automation, and architectural teams to meet process needs.
• Support proposals, technical narratives, and early planning concepts.
