Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an LSS Engineer to own the design, installation, commissioning, and regulatory compliance of life safety systems across the Taylor fab. You will drive system integration, FAT/SAT tests, and real-time hazard detection for TGMS, safety showers, and gas monitoring networks.

Collaborating with process engineering, EHS, and vendors, you will define alarm matrices, review P&IDs, specify sensors, and establish maintenance SOPs to ensure reliable protection for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in instrumentation, controls, I&E/I&C, or life-safety systems.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, detectors, and control interfaces.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for TGMS and related instrumentation/control infrastructure.
• Review designs, I/O, control logic, and field installation for new or modified systems.
• Collaborate with construction, vendors, and operations to deliver safely and on schedule.
