Job summary

The Avalon of Commerce Township is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator to plan, schedule, and coordinate meaningful activities that support residents’ physical, mental and social well-being.

You will lead daily resident activities, develop monthly calendars, and create engaging programs for diverse residents, including memory care. A high school diploma is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred; related experience with seniors is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• Six months experience working with seniors in activities or life enrichment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities and monthly events.
• Promote a healthy community culture for residents and employees.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff about disease prevention and wellness.
• Lead daily resident activities in alignment with community standards.
• Prepare and distribute monthly calendars according to community standards.
• Plan and execute diverse programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population, including memory care residents.

Education
