Job summary

Mission Nursing Home in Minnesota is seeking a Life Enrichment Associate to help design and deliver programs that foster socialization, entertainment, relaxation and daily living skills for residents.

You will assist with conducting scheduled activities under the Life Enrichment Director, coordinating with residents, families and staff to provide high-quality programming in a compliant, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• 1-2 years in social or recreation programming in long-term care preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass Minnesota DHS background check and US OIG exclusion search.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive program of leisure/life enrichment services under the Life Enrichment Director.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and staff to develop and implement programs meeting psychosocial needs.
• Assist in establishing systems for event management.
• Provide input on life enrichment programs based on assessments, regulations, and best practices.
• Participate in resident care planning with the team and other health care providers.
• Maintain activity documentation per regulations and facility policies.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and act as a resource for life enrichment.
