Job summary
The Mosaic Company seeks a strategic licensing and business development leader to identify external technology partnerships and oversee all stages from scouting to due diligence and contract negotiation. You will manage relationships with licensors and coordinate across R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams to maximize value.
Role requires deep agronomy knowledge, IP awareness, and proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biotechnology, Business, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years in licensing, business development, or technology scouting within agriculture or life sciences.
- 10+ years in agricultural business development preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify new in-licensing opportunities and monitor the agricultural tech landscape.
- Evaluate agronomic performance, scalability, regulatory feasibility, and economic impact.
- Engage with universities, startups, and licensors for exploratory discussions and negotiations.
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement licensed technologies and ensure compliance with agreements.
- Support out-licensing by positioning internal innovations for external licensing.
