Job summary

Orano USA seeks a Senior Licensing Engineer for Project IKE in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. You will lead regulatory activities, interface with the NRC, and guide licensing strategy across the project lifecycle.

The role requires deep nuclear licensing experience, strong technical writing, and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure compliance and timely approvals. Relocation and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in nuclear licensing or regulatory affairs.
• Direct interaction with the NRC is required.
• Strong knowledge of 10 CFR regulations and NRC licensing processes.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead NRC licensing interactions during License Application review.
• Coordinate NRC meetings, audits, and information requests.
• Prepare license amendments and related regulatory documentation.
• Support design and construction through licensing and startup.
• Monitor regulatory commitments and reporting obligations.
• Build relationships with NRC staff and regulators.
