Job summary

Orano USA is seeking a Senior Licensing Engineer for Project IKE in Oak Ridge, TN. You will lead licensing and regulatory activities, interfacing with the NRC and coordinating inputs from engineering teams to ensure compliant outputs.

The role requires strong technical judgment, systems thinking, and ability to manage licensing across the full project lifecycle, including amendments and commissioning readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial nuclear licensing or regulatory affairs.
• Strong written and verbal communication with regulatory bodies (NRC).
• Ability to travel frequently between Oak Ridge and NRC Headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory interactions with the NRC during licensing activities.
• Coordinate licensing evaluations and amendments across engineering teams.
• Prepare and coordinate License Amendment Requests and NRC responses.
• Monitor licensing schedule and regulatory commitments throughout the project lifecycle.
