Job summary

Woolpert is hiring a Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey & Geomatics team in Ohio. This role mentors staff, handles boundary determinations, and prepares plats and legal descriptions while assisting with scoping and scheduling of survey projects.

You will contribute to QA/QC processes, provide technical leadership, and coordinate with the Team Leader on deliverables. Proficiency with Trimble Business Center, OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation with GeoPak/OpenRoads is highly desirable, along

Qualifications

• Professional Surveyor License required.
• Mathematical concepts for surveying: data reduction, GNSS, level data, traverse data.
• Willingness to travel overnight and work overtime as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external relationships.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center is highly desirable.
• Experience with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation with GeoPak/OpenRoads is desirable.
• AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• GIS experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational, time management, attention to detail and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis for complex boundary surveys and prepares plats and boundary descriptions.
• Performs advanced calculations with field survey data.
• Assists with right-of-way plan preparation and QA/QC on plans.
• Prepares or reviews survey reports and legal descriptions.
• Prepares scopes of work and estimates for survey projects.
• Works with Team Leader to review project deliverables.
• Develops project quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Provides technical leadership in project planning and execution.
• Represents the firm at various functions as needed.
