Job summary

Stonefield Engineering & Design is seeking an experienced Licensed Landscape Architect in Asbury Park, NJ. The role focuses on leading landscape design and site development for diverse projects, collaborating with engineering and planning teams, and driving permitting and construction documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site design, grading, planting design, and 3-D visualization.

Qualifications

• Licensure as Landscape Architect (LLA/RLA) with ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• 5+ years of professional landscape architecture or land development experience.
• Experience managing and delivering landscape architecture and site design projects.
• Strong understanding of site planning, planting design, grading, hardscape design, and construction documentation.
• Experience with zoning, land development approvals, and site plan permitting process.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants, reviewing agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, schedules, and priorities.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead landscape architecture and site design from concept through permitting and construction.
• Develop creative and functional site plans, planting plans, hardscape designs, and lighting coordination.
• Own project management, client coordination, and communications with reviewing agencies.
• Prepare and review construction documents, field observations, and site plan drawings.
• Produce photorealistic renderings and environmental considerations; generate project reports and documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to growing Stonefield's landscape architecture capabilities.
