Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Licensed Field Engineer to join its geotechnical team, providing on-site leadership and daily observation for conformance to project documents on challenging sites in the New York City Area. In this role, you will serve as the on-site representative to ensure quality and compliance and to guide construction activities with engineering rigor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• New York State Professional Engineer license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, clients and managers.
• Willingness to work in the field up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site representative to provide leadership and daily observation of construction work for conformance to project documents and building codes.
• Display thorough understanding of construction documents, contractor submittals and contracts.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and managers.
• Attend project construction meetings.
• Maintain proper understanding of construction documents, contractor submittals, and contracts; and
• Perform other duties as requested.
