Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Licensed Field Engineer to join its team in New York, NY. The role focuses on on-site leadership and daily observation of construction work to ensure conformance to project documents and codes.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, and 4+ years of relevant experience. The candidate must be willing to work in the field up to 100% and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license is required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, submittals and contracts.
• Excellent communication with contractors, clients and managers.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to perform fieldwork up to 100% of the time; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site representative, providing leadership and daily observation of construction work to ensure conformance to project documents and building codes.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of construction documents, submittals, and contracts.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and managers; attend project construction meetings.
• Maintain current understanding of project documents and contracts; perform other duties as requested.
