Job summary

Austin Community College in Round Rock is seeking an Assistant, Senior Library to coordinate circulation services, desk operations, and staff training in a fast-paced, highly automated library. You will assist patrons, manage circulation workflows, compile statistics, and work with multiple campuses to maintain confidentiality and high customer service standards.

This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead a team while delivering reliable

Qualifications

Knowledge of library operations and standards.
Familiarity with office productivity tools.
Understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

Assists patrons with directional questions, equipment use, and updating patron information.
Oversees and/or performs delivery of roles: periodical collection, reserve collection, special collections, circulation projects, stack maintenance, and technology.
Ensures that circulation tasks meet ACC policies and confidentiality standards.
Compiles and maintains library statistics (equipment use, gate count, inventories, repairs).
Coordinates a team environment to ensure quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Opens and/or closes the library; coordinates staff scheduling and training.
