The role emphasizes advanced knowledge of library resources, leadership, and collaboration on professional teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and information science.
• 4 years of experience in a public library setting developing and implementing library programs and providing reference and reader's advisory service.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Help people discover resources and develop research abilities.
• Provide reference and reader's advisory services to library users.
• Develop engaging programs for all ages to support literacy and learning.
• Build relationships through community outreach and partnerships.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff as needed.
