Job summary

Burlington County Library System seeks a visionary, self-motivated Adult Services Coordinator to lead the Adult and Teen Services department at the Westampton location. Under the Chief Librarian, you will guide policies, programs, and strategic initiatives for teens and adults.

You will supervise the Teen and Adult Services team, collaborate across system-wide departments, and build partnerships to advance literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library or information science from an ALA-accredited program (or NJ Master’s program deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College).
• Professional Librarian license in NJ within six months of appointment.
• Three years of librarian experience, with at least three additional years in supervisory/management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-wide services and programs to meet identified community needs and bring them to scale.
• Lead, coach, and mentor a dynamic team of librarians across departments.
• Build partnerships with area businesses, organizations, and community stakeholders.
• Oversee daily operations of the Adult and Teen Services department, supervising reference staff.
• Manage reference desk operations and respond to inquiries related to facilities, collections, services, and programs.
