SEPTA seeks a Senior Claims Examiner to manage a large inventory of liability claims from first notice through final resolution. You will work with the OGC team, outside counsel and experts to pursue timely and cost-effective settlement.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree and 5 years' General Liability claims experience, including complex and litigated files, plus knowledge of PA tort law and civil procedure. We offer comprehensive benefits and a stable career in the Philadelphia region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with five years of General Liability claims experience.
• Experience with complex and litigated claims and PA law knowledge.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large inventory of liability claims from first notice to final resolution.
• Collaborate with intake, outside counsel and experts to investigate and reserve claims.
• Identify coverage issues and develop litigation plans with defense counsel.
• Present cases to leadership and track legal expenses for cost-effective resolution.
• Document activity timely and ensure fair outcomes.
