Senior Claims Examiner (General Liability)

Location: New Haven County, CT

Salary: $85,000.00–$105,000.00

Employment type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderate to high‑severity General Liability claims.
• Conduct thorough investigations, analyze coverage, determine liability, and establish appropriate reserves.
• Collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of GL claims handling experience.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial liability policies, litigation management, and coverage analysis.
• Proven ability to handle complex claims from inception through resolution.
• Ability to travel to the Connecticut office three times a week; may travel to office on a monthly basis.
