Job summary

GLAD Law is seeking a Senior Staff Attorney to lead the organization’s litigation portfolio, overseeing multiple attorneys and high-stakes cases across state and federal courts. The role emphasizes leadership, strategy, and collaboration within a national scope.

Reporting to the Legal Director, you will supervise attorneys, manage caseloads, and contribute to policy work while advancing LGBTQ+ and racial justice through precedent-setting litigation and public education.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and admission to practice law in at least one US state.
• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, including motion practice, trial practice and/or appeals, with ability to lead complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cases in state and federal court and other disputes.
• Lead litigation teams and oversee case development, research, pleadings, discovery, and appeals.
• Oversee amicus curiae efforts through briefs writing and coordination.
