Job summary

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, is seeking technicians skilled in repairing electronics at the component level and servicing industrial robotic components and PLCs in Warren, MI. The role involves troubleshooting robotics systems, identifying root causes of failures, and soldering SMD/through-hole components.

Applicants should have 5+ years of electronics repair experience, familiarity with Fanuc, Motoman, Allen Bradley, and Siemens, and ladder logic expertise.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and perform manual dexterity tasks.

• Must pass drug screening and background check.

Job description

The position requires component level repair of industrial controls.

Repair of industrial robotic components and PLC’s.

Troubleshoot and identify root causes of robotics and electronic failures.

Troubleshoot electronics to board level components.

Solder through hole and surface mount components.

Willing to train entry level technicians.

Able to use basic hand tools.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Programming experience with C++ a plus.

Cable troubleshooting and building a plus.

Experience with Profibus and CAN bus a plus.

5+ years of experience repairing electronics.

Must have experience with Fanuc, Motoman, Allen Bradley, and Siemens.

Must have experience with Allen Bradey and Siemens ladder logic.

Able to home and perform basic robotic programming.

Complete understanding of a DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, variable power supplies and other lab test equipment.

Effective communication and interaction skills needed.

Excellent organizational skills required.

Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.

Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Regularly required to stand and walk.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.

Location: Warren, MI

Compensation: Hourly rate base on experience level.
