Sr. Technical Debt Project Manager

Description

DSI is searching for a Sr. Technical Debt Project Manager with experience as a Project Manager, specifically in the retirement of Mainframe Technologies and management of technical debt. Experience in a state government environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of the work, including vendors, costs, and temporary staff.
2. Collaborate closely with the large IT Project Manager and Large Project Oversight Project Manager to ensure operational excellence, compliance, team performance, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, especially managing technical debt.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving skills for technical issues.
• Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Risk management skills related to technical debt.
• Experience in retirement of Mainframe Technologies as a Project Manager.
• 10+ years managing IT projects.
• 5+ years in software development, systems architecture, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Leadership skills to foster team collaboration.
• Risk mitigation skills for technical debt.

Preferred Skills

• State government experience in Mainframe retirement projects.
