Job summary

The Blackhawk Group is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician (III/IV) to perform inspections and repairs on turbine-powered aircraft. The role requires extensive knowledge of airframes, engines, and components, with emphasis on quality and adherence to FARs.

Location at Glendale, AZ with potential sign-on and relocation bonus. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of corporate aviation experience and familiarity with Citation/King Air aircraft; FAA A&P license is required or Inspector

Qualifications

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license required.
  • Experience with turbine-powered aircraft preferred.
  • Five to Ten Years corporate aviation experience with emphasis on inspection and repair.
  • Knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145; quality system experience preferred.
  • Experience on Citation and King Air is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex aircraft inspections and repairs on airframes, engines, propellers, and components with limited oversight.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, vendors, and staff with respect and candor.
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding performance and evaluations of technicians.
  • Apply AC 43.13 requirements without oversight when manuals are inadequate.
  • Oversee assigned projects of greater complexity to maintain aircraft schedules.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Level Maintenance Technician (III/IV) I to perform routine inspections, repairs and alterations on a variety of aircraft. If you want to learn and grow your career, you have come to the right place!
We are looking for someone with exceptional character with experience on piston or jet aircraft. Citation and/or King Air experience is extremely helpful with experience in inspections. The Blackhawk Group offers competitive pay and outstanding benefits.
The Service Technician III/IV level is directly responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for the performance of the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair or Alteration.

  • Fully understand and perform all duties and requirements set forth in the “Service Technician I” and the “Service Technician II” Job Description without guidance or oversight.
  • Perform complex aircraft inspections and repairs on airframes, engines, propellers, and components with limited oversight and zero rework.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, vendors, and staff with respect and candor.
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the General Manager regarding performance issues and evaluations of the Service Technicians of lesser experience and grade.
  • Understand and apply the AC 43.13 requirements without any oversight or direction when aircraft maintenance manuals fail to provide adequate information.
  • Oversee assigned projects of a more complex nature and utilize allocated manpower accordingly to ensure aircraft schedule are maintained.

Job Type: Full-time/ hourly
Pay: $32-40/hour (negotiable), depending on experience
Sign on and relocation bonus potential

Requirements:

  • Airframe and Powerplant FAA license Required. Inspector Authorization Preferred.
  • Thorough Knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 with Quality system experience preferred.
  • Five to Ten Years Corporate Aviation Experience with emphasis on Inspection & Repair preferred.
  • Minimum of Four years Aviation experience on Turbine Powered part 23 and part 25 aircraft required.
