Job summary

Tyson & Mendes in Northern California seeks an experienced Senior Counsel with Lemon Law and consumer litigation expertise. Based in our Novato office, you will handle matters statewide, collaborate with a national defense firm and own case strategy from discovery through trial.

The role values proactive, independent litigators with at least eight years of experience and a CA bar license, ready to lead matters and develop client relationships while advancing within the firm.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA approved law school.
• Active California bar license is required.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience.
• 5+ years of Lemon Law defense or automotive warranty litigation.
• 2+ years of CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation experience.
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice and trial preparation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a case theme and manage court appearances, depositions, briefs and trials.
• Oversee discovery, take and defend depositions, and handle substantive motion practice.
• Work directly with clients, evaluate exposure, and prepare cases for mediation and trial.
• Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
• Collaborate across teams and matter types to support client needs.
