Job summary

King & Spalding is seeking a Senior Legal Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex matters and client portfolios. You will work with partners, matter teams, and clients to define scope, staffing, and success metrics while managing budgets, risks, and governance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will mentor junior team members, promote LPM best practices, and leverage analytics and AI tools to improve efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD or master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of legal project management or related experience in a law firm.
• Experience mentoring teams and managing cross‑jurisdictional matters.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiar with LPM methodologies, budgets, and dashboards.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, SQL, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex matters with matter plans, timelines, and dashboards.
• Define matter scope, staffing, roles, and success measures with attorneys and clients.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecast timelines, adjust for changes, and mitigate risks.
• Provide consolidated updates and strategic recommendations to partners and clients.
• Facilitate governance meetings and collaborate across groups, offices, and vendors.
• Support fee arrangement management and guideline compliance across portfolios.
• Advise on staffing and resource allocation to optimize delivery.
• Develop LPM templates, playbooks, and reporting tools for consistency and scale.
• Support BD efforts with pitches, RFPs, and client presentations.
• Evaluate LPM tech, data analytics, and dashboards to improve delivery.
• Provide training and change management for adoption of PM tools.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and ensure knowledge sharing.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative LPM culture across the firm.
