Job summary

LONGi Solar is seeking a Senior Legal Manager to serve as a key legal partner for North America operations, supporting commercial transactions, trade compliance, and legal risk management across the U.S. and Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of international trade, renewable energy, and cross-border legal practice, with direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• JD/LLM from a US law school and bar admission in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of commercial transaction experience, including 2+ years at a reputable law firm.
• Industry background in energy/renewables, solar, manufacturing, construction or infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements across the U.S. and Canada.
• Advise on international trade matters including tariffs, customs compliance, and trade remedy issues.
• Build and maintain the legal compliance framework for North American subsidiaries and monitor developments.
• Manage disputes end-to-end and oversee outside counsel for cost-effective representation.

We are seeking a Senior Legal Manager to serve as a key legal partner for our North America operations — supporting commercial transactions, trade compliance, and legal risk management across the U.S. and Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of international trade, renewable energy, and cross-border legal practice, with direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities

1.Commercial & Transactional Support

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (supply, EPC, O&M, joint venture, etc.) supporting business teams across the U.S. and Canada
• Advise on international trade matters including tariffs, customs compliance, and trade remedy issues (AD/CVD, UFLPA, etc.)
• Proactively identify contractual risks and develop practical mitigation strategies Compliance & Risk Management
• Build and maintain the legal compliance framework for North American subsidiaries
• Monitor regulatory developments (energy, trade, environmental, corporate) and translate them into actionable business guidance

2.Dispute Resolution & External Counsel Management

• Manage disputes end-to-end — from prevention and early assessment through resolution
• Select, instruct, and oversee outside counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality representation

Job Qualifications

• JD/LLM from an accredited U.S. law school
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (California preferred)
• 5+ years of commercial transaction experience, including at least 2 years at a reputable law firm
• Industry background in energy, renewables, solar, manufacturing, construction, or infrastructure strongly preferred
• Experience with or understanding of Chinese multinational corporations is a plus.
