About the Senior Legal Data Intelligence Lead Role
This role is the applied science team's primary industry expert in litigation and discovery. Reporting to the Head of Applied Science, you will utilize your legal expertise to evaluate our generative AI capabilities, serve as the main liaison to litigators, and relay technical and user insights between teams.
Job Description and Requirements
Responsibilities
Engage with clients and industry to explain our generative AI systems and gather feedback on their performance in document analysis, classification, data protection, and knowledge curation.
Collaborate with internal teams—applied scientists, product managers, engineers—to provide feedback on AI solutions' performance, usability, and functionality.
Contribute to AI strategy by leveraging your legal expertise to design, develop, and improve testing, benchmarking, and evaluation systems for our AI solutions.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate with 5+ years of experience practicing law as a litigator or in a related legal role, or equivalent experience in legal services or legal tech.
Hands-on experience with Relativity across diverse workflows, including traditional EDRM and broader legal data use cases.
Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences.
Deep interest in using generative AI responsibly to advance legal practice and access to justice.
Knowledge of TAR, statistical validation, and other advanced document review and analysis techniques.

This role offers total compensation including a competitive base salary, annual bonus, and long-term incentives.
The salary range is between $154,000 and $232,000, with the final offer based on experience, skills, and internal equity. Salary at the top of the range is uncommon to allow for future growth.
