Job summary

Kit is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to own privacy, data, AI, and compliance across a fast-moving tech platform for creators. You will partner with the executive team to shape product legal strategy, vet data practices, and manage commercial contracts within a multi-revenue ecosystem including SaaS, digital commerce, and ads.

You will report to the COO and work with product, sales, finance, and security to build scalable processes, templates, and playbooks.

Qualifications

• In-house counsel experience at a tech company or equivalent
• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school, active State Bar membership
• Strong knowledge of privacy, data protection, and product-related compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-house legal subject matter expert focusing on privacy, data, AI, compliance, and commercial contracts
• Lead product legal strategy with executives and cross-functional teams
• Develop scalable playbooks, templates, and intake processes for privacy and data-use questions
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales, and security to move initiatives quickly while controlling risk
• Support GDPR and data compliance vetting and respond to customer security questionnaires
