Khan Academy is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for Khan Academy Kids to serve as the primary legal partner to the team, guiding product design and launch in privacy, COPPA compliance, and international market entry. This remote, fixed-term fellowship ends June 30, 2028.

You will draft terms of service and policies, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and coordinate with local counsel to ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions while supporting Khan's mission to provide free,

Formación

• 8+ years of legal practice experience.
• Experience advising on design, launch, and scaling of consumer-facing products.
• Deep privacy compliance experience for children or consumer products.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the business partner to Khan Kids product, engineering, and international programs teams, providing first-line legal and regulatory guidance on new features and products.
• Provide product counseling throughout the development cycle, with a focus on privacy-by-design and age-appropriate content.
• Advise on privacy compliance for children’s products under COPPA, GDPR, and regional laws applicable to young users.
• Draft, review, and update terms of service, privacy policies, and parental consent flows for Khan Kids products.
• Coordinate with local counsel to confirm regulatory requirements and obtain market-specific advice.
