Job summary

Vertafore, a leading provider of core digital systems for the insurance industry, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel in Denver to manage IP protection, technology transactions and contract drafting across Sales, Marketing, Support and Billing teams.

The role requires drafting and negotiating complex SaaS, licensing, procurement and services agreements, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement practical business solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience handling intellectual property protection and licensing agreements.
• Proven ability to draft, negotiate and manage complex SaaS and technology contracts.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and review a wide range of agreements including IP licensing, SaaS, vendor and services contracts.
• Collaborate with Sales to review contracts and manage workflow in CRM tools.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Finance to ensure contract terms align with internal processes.
• Review marketing related agreements and support events, promotions and compliance.
• Lead as the primary attorney on significant matters and work with outside counsel as needed.
• Drive improvements in contract process efficiency while maintaining quality and consistency.
