What You'll Get To Do :

This position will report to the head of Litigation and Corporate Affairs and will be responsible for supporting the various businesses, overseas companies and the product safety group in connection with product safety matters, regulatory compliance, pre-litigation dispute resolution and managing litigation.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring :

Education and Experience

• Law degree from accredited law school required. Admission to a state bar, NJ or NY preferred or eligibility to obtain in-house counsel license in NJ.
• 5-8 years' experience at a law firm and / or corporate legal department with a focus on product safety or product liability, product warranty, regulatory compliance and general commercial litigation.
• Substantive knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
• Experience advising clients in all stages of civil litigation including strategy for pre-litigation dispute resolution and risk mitigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and knowledge of insurance related issues.
• Experience with Environmental Product Regulation, including compliance with EPA regulations or knowledge of Antitrust Law, a plus.

The wage range of $170,000 - $180,000 is just one component of Panasonic's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

• The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
