Our client, an alternative investment management firm, is looking to add a Senior Legal Counsel to the firms dynamic legal and compliance team. This is a globally recognized, prominent investment firm that focuses on long-term growth strategies through investments across hedge funds, private funds, and other alternative platforms, including multi-manager, fund-of-funds, and bespoke vehicles. The Senior Legal Counsel will report to the General Counsel and work closely with the deal teams and investment professionals in a highly collaborative environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to support a broad range of legal matters and broaden expertise in the hedge fund space.

Responsibilities :

• Provide general day-to-day legal support across the business operations.
• Draft, negotiate, and review investment agreements, side letters, fund documents, marketing disclosures, vendor contracts, and NDAs.
• Support legal and regulatory aspects of investments in underlying hedge funds, including analysis of relevant securities laws and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support investment activity and drive new business initiatives.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years of experience at a top-tier law firm or in-house, ideally with exposure to private funds and / or investment management.
• Experience with fund formation, drafting complex agreements and disclosures, and advising on regulatory matters.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively with various teams.
