Job Description

Position Title: Sr. Legal Counsel

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role As a Senior Legal Counsel you'll be a critical member of our legal team, supporting strategic global and hyperscale customer transactions. Working alongside senior attorneys and cross-functional business teams, you’ll help draft, negotiate, and advise on complex agreements for data center space and ancillary services. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where legal skill meets business acumen — ideal for a proactive, business-savvy attorney who thrives in collaborative, dynamic environments.

What You’ll Do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of customer-facing agreements, including:
• Master Service Agreements for global and hyperscale customers
• Leases, licenses, service agreements, and occupancy contracts for colocation and data center environments
• Ancillary service documents like remote hands, fit-outs, and connectivity orders
• Advise sales, portfolio management, and operations teams on legal and strategic matters
• Analyze and mitigate risk in complex, multi-jurisdictional commercial deals
• Support the day-to-day needs of portfolio and property operations teams, including audits, tenant issues, and project support
• Drive continuous improvement of legal templates, playbooks, and policies
• Assist in developing streamlined, scalable negotiation processes to accelerate deal execution
• Manage external counsel with a focus on efficiency and alignment to business priorities
• Collaborate globally across legal and business units to support enterprise-wide legal initiatives
  

What You’ll Need

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar (eligible for in-house counsel registration if needed)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Experience negotiating commercial real estate leases or technology-related service agreements (data center agreements strongly preferred)
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Comfortable handling multiple complex projects under pressure in a fast-paced, global business
• Professional presence with the ability to build rapport across departments and cultures
• Detail-oriented, solution-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality legal service
• A team player with initiative, good judgment, and a sense of humor — we value people who take their work seriously, but not themselves
• Willingness to travel occasionally and engage with international stakeholders
