The role includes supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research, driving architectural design studios, publishing in indexed journals, and strengthening industry links to enhance teaching excellence.

Contribute to curriculum design, review, and enhancement to ensure programmes remain current, industry-relevant, and aligned with accreditation standards.
Develop engaging and innovative teaching and learning materials using appropriate digital tools and pedagogical approaches.
Teach and assess modules related toProfessional Practice, including professional ethics, contract administration, project management, and regulatory frameworks.
Lead and facilitateArchitectural Design Studiomodules across various levels of study
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, providing academic and research guidance to support student success.
Mentor and advise students to enhance their learning experience, professional development, and overall achievement.
Uphold and promote high standards of teaching excellence consistent with the University’s academic expectations.
Engage actively in scholarly research and contribute to the advancement of knowledge within the relevant field.
Publish research findings in reputable indexed journals (ISI / Scopus) and present at academic or professional conferences.
Participate in research projects as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, and contribute to securing internal or external research grants.
Develop a growing research profile with measurable outputs and impact aligned with the University’s research priorities.
Foster interdisciplinary and collaborative research activities with colleagues, industry, and external partners.
Actively participate in departmental, school, and faculty administration through committee involvement, working groups, and governance activities.
Contribute to initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and reputation of the University’s academic and operational functions.
Engage in continuous professional development and support the advancement of academic and institutional excellence.
Assist in building and maintaining linkages with external organisations, industry partners, and professional bodies to strengthen collaboration and promote the University’s academic profile.
Possess aPhD from a recognised university inArchitecture / Built Environment
Registered as Graduate Architect LAM Part II.A registered Professional Architect (Ar.) LAM Part III with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) is an added advantage
Demonstrated capability to teach Professional Practice modules
Minimum oftwo (2) yearsof relevant experience in teaching, research, and/or industry practice, preferably within a higher education environment.
Strong publication recordwith2-3 indexed journal publications (ISI / Scopus Q1 and Q2) within the last five (5) years.
Proven ability tosecure external research grantsasPrincipal Investigator, with acumulative value of RM20,000-RM30,000.
Scopus h-index of at least 3.
Proven experience in curriculum design, teaching innovation, and pedagogical excellence.
Skilled in developing and applying effective teaching methodologies, including the use of digital and IT technologies.
Active involvement in research projects, consultancy, or professional practice with evidence of scholarly or industry-relevant outputs.
