Job summary

Taylor's University Sdn Bhd invites applications for a senior academic to shape curricula, review accreditation standards, and lead Professional Practice modules within Architecture / Built Environment.

The role includes supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research, driving architectural design studios, publishing in indexed journals, and strengthening industry links to enhance teaching excellence.

Qualifications

PhD from a recognised university in Architecture / Built Environment.
Registered Graduate Architect LAM Part II.
Registered Professional Architect (Ar.) LAM Part III an added advantage.
Demonstrated capability to teach Professional Practice modules.
Minimum of two years of relevant teaching/research/industry experience.
Strong publication record with 2–3 indexed journal publications (ISI/Scopus).
Proven ability to secure external research grants as PI (RM20k–RM30k).
Scopus h-index of at least 3.
Experience supervising Master by Research as main supervisor.

Responsibilities

Contribute to curriculum design and accreditation alignment.
Develop engaging teaching materials using digital tools and pedagogical approaches.
Teach and assess modules related to Professional Practice.
Lead and facilitate Architectural Design Studio modules across levels.
Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
Mentor students to support learning and professional development.
Uphold high standards of teaching excellence.
