Job summary

Taylor's University invites applications for a scholarly and teaching-focused faculty role in the School of Accounting & Finance. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching, supervise research, and contribute to curriculum development.

Qualifications

• PhD in Accounting or related field from a recognised university.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in teaching, research, and/or industry practice, preferably within a higher education environment.
• Strong publication record with 2–3 indexed journal publications (ISI/Scopus Q1 and Q2) within the last five years.
• Proven ability to secure external research grants as Principal Investigator, with a cumulative value of RM20,000–RM30,000.
• Scopus h-index of at least 3 will be considered an added advantage.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching delivery, curriculum development, and student engagement.
• Experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching methodologies and effective use of educational technologies.
• Active involvement in research, consultancy, or professional practice with evidence of scholarly or industry-relevant outputs.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and active engagement with relevant professional or academic bodies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions within the assigned discipline.

• Develop engaging and innovative teaching and learning materials using appropriate digital tools and pedagogical approaches.

• Uphold and promote high standards of teaching excellence consistent with the University’s academic expectations.
• Participate in departmental, school, and faculty meetings, committees, and working groups.
• Contribute to the administration, coordination, and continuous improvement of academic programmes.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain currency in academic practice and subject expertise.
• Support initiatives that strengthen partnerships with industry, community organisations, and professional bodies.

Teaching & Learning

Deliver high-quality teaching through lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions within the assigned discipline.

REQUIREMENTS
