Job description

The Senior Learning Design Professional plays a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of training programs and spearheading process development initiatives within the organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with the learning lead to conduct comprehensive annual reviews of learning materials, including Computer-Based Trainings (CBTs), to ensure that all educational content remains relevant and impactful. The senior actively participates in various team projects assigned by leadership, demonstrating adaptability and collaboration.

  • Collaborates with the lead to use instructional design, cognitive psychology, and adult learning theory to determine the appropriate solution to a knowledge or performance gap.
  • Maintains records of development, designs solutions, and writes storyboards, scripts, performance support, mobile learning, and manuals.
  • Works closely with the lead to provide input for course content and understand project requirements, timelines, and expectations.
  • Assists in the development of learning objectives and coordinates performance assessments and surveys.
  • Conducts research to evaluate training program effectiveness.
  • Provides instruction and guidance to learning design professionals.
  • Plans, organizes, and develops training curriculum and materials.
  • Begins to influence the department’s strategy.
  • Works on problems of variable scope and complexity, from easy to moderate.
  • Exercises independent judgment on complex issues and works under moderate supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Instructional Design, Education, or two years of experience in training and development.
  • Three or more years of Medicaid/Medicare experience.
  • Experience with learning strategies and adult learning theories.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe PDF, Visio, Articulate, and other relevant tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Learning and Performance, Education, Human Resources, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • Work experience in a healthcare and/or managed care setting.
Additional Information
  • Workstyle: Remote
  • Location: U.S.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm EST

Interview process involves using HireVue technology for virtual interviews. Home/Hybrid employees must have internet speeds meeting specified criteria. Occasional travel to offices may be required. Compensation ranges from $71,100 to $97,800 annually, with potential bonuses based on performance.
