Job summary

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, in Louisville, KY, seeks a senior automation engineer to lead application, evaluation, development and commissioning of manufacturing control systems. This role emphasizes Lean manufacturing improvements and leadership communication.

Responsibilities include PLC/HMI work, Rockwell PLCs, EtherNet/IP networking, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize plant performance and enable continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Rockwell automation software and OT control systems.
• Strong networking knowledge with EtherNet/IP and managed switches.
• Experience with robotics integrations (Yaskawa, Fanuc) is advantageous.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of SCADA, OPC-UA, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with MES implementations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and troubleshoot facility and manufacturing control systems including PLCs, drives, and HMI interfaces.
• Design and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
• Write/modify PLC programs and recommend hardware solutions.
• Document revisions and interface with IT for proper controls application.
• Support maintenance and participate in MES implementations.
