Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Lean Industrial Engineer to lead site initiatives and support the Eurofins Operational Excellence program. The Lean Industrial Engineer will help automate and optimize lab processes across the group.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of Lean experience, strong data analysis skills, and can drive Kaizen events and value stream mapping in a multi-site environment.

Qualifications

• Formal Lean training with 3+ years of successful Lean implementation experience.
• Lean Certification by an accredited body preferred.
• Ability to evaluate complex cross-functional processes and develop strategic recommendations.
• Lead value stream mapping and future-state design across departments.
• Advanced data analysis, dashboarding, and communicating business impact.
• Strong problem-solving using Lean tools and structured methodologies.
• Proficiency in Excel, Visio, Power BI, and project management tools.
• Experience leading Kaizen events, 5S, and visual management.
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current laboratory processes to identify opportunities for automation and lean improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align automation with lean goals.
• Lead Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other lean initiatives to eliminate waste.
• Monitor KPIs related to efficiency, downtime, and quality.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Train staff on lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Develop tools to quantify labor savings, waste reduction, and carbon footprint impacts.
• Manage projects through completion and monitor outcomes.
