Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company seeks a VP, Commercial Surety to provide strategic leadership, drive underwriting excellence, and propel profitable growth across a nationwide portfolio.

The role leads Home Office and regional teams, accrues executive relationships with agencies and brokers, and partners with risk, finance, and regulatory functions to optimize performance and customer value.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of underwriting/marketing/leadership experience in the surety bond marketplace.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed underwriting teams and working with brokers and distribution partners.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic leadership for the Commercial Surety line of business to drive profitable growth.
• Lead Home Office and Regional Directors, aligning underwriting, distribution, and objectives.
• Build executive relationships with agencies, brokers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee underwriting governance, portfolio performance, and risk controls.
• Drive pricing strategy, product direction, and regulatory filings.
• Develop talent, succession plans, and organizational capability.
