Job summary

Solid Power, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager of Capital Projects Engineering to lead a team responsible for transitioning electrolyte production technology to mass production. You will manage capital projects from concept through commissioning, oversee budgets, and drive reliability planning across sites.

You will mentor engineers, own vendor relationships, and shape engineering standards and safety practices for a commercial powder production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required.
• 10+ years of industry experience in materials production environment.
• Experience leading capital projects through full life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of capital project engineers with hiring and career development.
• Own end-to-end delivery of capital projects from concept to handoff to operations.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and cash flows; report variances to leadership.
• Oversee vendor/OEM/contractor relationships, RFQ development and bidding, and on-site oversight.
• Drive Site Acceptance Testing, commissioning, and start-up of capital projects.
• Develop standards and documentation for equipment selection, P&IDs, and drawings.
• Report status and risks to executives through reviews and updates.
• Ensure process safety analyses and proper safety procedures.
