Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Capital Markets team within the Commercial & Investment Bank. You will help design, build, and operate a next-generation execution platform used by thousands globally, focusing on secure, scalable back-end systems and AI-assisted development practices.

Lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure high-performance, low-latency services while advancing automated testing, CI/CD, and resilient operations across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with validation of outputs for correctness, performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors and vendors.
• Design, build, and maintain Java code and services.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code.
• Drive AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality, speed, and operations with measurable validation standards.
• Leverage SDLC tools for automation and governance to improve value of automation at scale.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serve as SME in one or more focus areas.
• Ensure performance, quality, and low-latency characteristics of high-throughput systems.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs; improve resiliency and deployment practices.
• Build and evolve distributed, event-driven microservices with Spring Boot.
