As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Digital and Platform Services team, you will work to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

1. Regularly provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
2. Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
3. Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more focus areas.
5. Contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
6. Influence peers and decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies.
7. Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering, with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Extensive experience in design and architecture for large distributed data applications.
• Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python/PySpark, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with Python and Spark or equivalent frameworks like Flink or Beam.
• Experience with AWS technologies such as AWS Glue, Kinesis, Redshift, or similar from other cloud providers.
• Experience working in a Markets trading environment, especially in Currencies, Rates, Emerging Markets, Commodities, and Options.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Practical experience with cloud-native architectures.
