Job summary

JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City seeks a Sr. Lead Software Engineer to advance the Commercial & Investment Bank Payments Technology Core Blockchain Team.

You will shape secure, scalable blockchain-based solutions, mentor engineers, and drive enterprise-class SDLC adoption across AI-assisted workflows. Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Degree in Computer Science / Mathematics or equivalent.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for traditional distributed systems.
• Hands-on blockchain development on Ethereum or Hyperledger.
• Proficient in Solidity, Java, JavaScript, Python.
• Knowledge of cryptography principles, key management.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Strong independent problem-solving and leadership in AI-assisted practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implements microservices architectures using industry-standard technologies and frameworks.
• Design blockchain solutions and decentralized applications on private and public blockchain networks, with cryptographic protocols.
• Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and operations.
• Monitors and optimize performance of microservices for high availability.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues to maintain stability.
• Conducts code reviews and provides constructive feedback to peers.
• Contributes to engineering community with SDLC frameworks and practices.
• Implements rigorous monitoring and testing for security and performance of blockchain infrastructure.
• Designs and verifies cryptographic protocols deployed on the blockchain.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices while establishing validation standards.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation.
