Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer & Community Banking division in Plano, TX. You will design, develop, and maintain full‑stack solutions, build secure APIs, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Data & Analytics to deliver iteratively using Agile practices.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in backend/frontend development, proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, UI frameworks, and cloud/container platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering delivering production applications.
• Proficiency with Angular or React for modern UI development.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience with REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with cloud and container platforms (AWS, Cloud Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with Oracle and NoSQL databases (Cassandra or MongoDB).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience leading adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and governance.
• Knowledge of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions.
• Build secure, high-performing APIs and integrations; contribute to reliability and performance.
• Collaborate daily with Product, Design, and Data & Analytics to refine requirements, estimate work, and deliver iteratively using Agile practices.
• Write clean, maintainable code with strong unit/integration test coverage; participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation; champion best practices in quality and developer productivity.
• Contribute to production support: troubleshooting, incident triage, root-cause analysis, and preventative improvements.
• Participate in application, data, and infrastructure architecture conversations and help evolve platform standards.
• Drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing measurable validation standards.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.
