Job summary

Manpower Group (USA) is partnering with a medical device client to recruit a Lead Quality Inspector in Minnesota. You will oversee the daily flow of the inspection function and mentor the Quality Inspection team, ensuring incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet quality standards before release.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent quality inspection certification.
• Minimum of 5 years quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specs, and criteria.
• Knowledge of AQL methodologies, defect classification, and sampling plans.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the Inspection Department.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Quality Control Technicians.
• Manage inspection priorities and workflow for materials and finished products.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on medical device products.
• Conduct final quality reviews of inspection documentation prior to release.
• Verify lot traceability, product identification, labeling, and supporting documentation.
• Inspect raw materials including pouches, cartons, implant components, and other product materials.
• Inspect finished goods, including sterile packaged products and instrument tray assemblies.
• Utilize hand measurement tools such as calipers and other inspection equipment to verify product conformance.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection checklists.
• Apply Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) standards and accurately identify major and minor defects.
• Ensure all inspection records are complete, accurate, and compliant with quality system requirements.
